This Friday we are going to be updating the shop with Daintree our merino, silk and bamboo blended yarn.  This lovely yarn was made popular after the release of Timely by Libby Jonson.  We will be adding lot's of colours, both speckled and semi-solid to the shop, hope you can pop by for a look.

We are super excited to be releasing our newest design Salerno, a cosy, top-down sweater that features a relaxed fit around the body and flattering slim-lined sleeves. The fun, woven-stitch pattern used for the body creates little spots of embossed colour that stripe playfully across the fabric.

Salerno was designed using our Top Draw Sock and is held together with our lovely Silk Mohair Lace.  The contrast colours are also Top Draw Sock (now available in half skeins!); however, using leftover sock yarn would be perfect as well.

Pattern Details

Salerno was designed to be worn with 10-13” (25.5-33) cm positive ease around the bust and 1” (2.5) cm around the upper arm.  Since this sweater is very fitted around the upper arm, it is suggested that you select a size that corresponds with that measurement.

Salerno Kits

We will have Salerno kits available in the shop this Friday.  Kits include:

• All the yarn you need to make the Salerno sweater in any colour of your choice (you need to select one main colour and three contrast colours).
• A unique Ravelry download code which will allow you to download a free copy of the pattern.
• A sweater-sized Skein project bag.

All kits are dyed to order which means they will be shipped around 2-3 weeks after orders have been placed.

KAL

We are also running a  Salerno KAL over on our Ravelry group!  Our cast-on date is today and the KAL will run until March 18.  There will also be prizes for those who meet the dead-line.  ALL YARNS ARE WELCOME!  If you want to go stash diving and use yarn other than Skein, that is totally fine.  So come on over and join us!

The sweater knitting craze has hit the knitting world with a bang, I know because I have caught the sweater knitting bug BIG time!  So I have been dreaming up subtle tonal colours that are more geared towards sweater knitting.  Now, I do love a variegated yarn for garments as well BUT finding the right pattern for these yarns can be difficult.  That is why I wanted to offer a collection of colours that are a little more sophisticated and classic that offer just a hint of tonal variation yet still remain subtle.  Fun to knit and eay to wear was my motto for this collection.  So without further ado, let me introduce our new colourways.

Our new colourways will be available in the shop Friday 14th December.  We will have them available on Bliss DK, Uptown Sock and Silk Merino Lace.  Hope you like them!

This will be our last shop update for the year. We do plan to have a special something in the shop on the 26th December, but we will be closing up the studio from Thursday 20th December and return Monday 7th January.  All emails and orders will be read and processed as soon as we return.

This Friday we will be updating the shop with our Daintree yarn dyed specifically for the lovely Timely cardigan by Libby Jonson.  We have dyed up specific combinations, however yarn will be sold individually, just in case you want to swap colours around OR if you were thinking of knitting another pattern (like the stunning Daintree Shawl by Jessica Gore).

We will be adding Porto Kits to the shop in preparation for the our newest pattern release due on the 26th December.  Our kits are dyed to order, which means you get to select ANY one of our colourways and we will dye it up on our Sport base.  We aim to ship these kits out within 1 week of ordering which will means, if you order your kit right away, your yarn will arrive just in time for the pattern release!

Kits include:

• All the yarn you need to knit the Porto sweater in any colour of your choosing.
• A unique Ravelry code which will allow you to download a free copy of the pattern on release day (26th December).

KAL

We are also running a Porto KAL over on our Ravelry group!  We have already opened up the KAL thread so we can talk about yarn, colours and help you answer any questions you might have about the pattern.  Our cast on date is the 26th December and the KAL will run until the 19th February.  There will also be prizes for those who meet the dead-line.  ALL YARNS ARE WELCOME!  If you want to go stash diving and use yarn other than Skein that is totally fine.  So come on over and join us!

This week we are stocking up our shelves with Top Draw Sock.  We've had some fun going through our colourway archives and have dyed up  some of our most popular colourways (including Tea Party pictured above).

This Friday we are stocking the shop with two very special bases, Classy and Bliss DK.

Classy is our single ply merino/silk (70/30) sock base that is super drapey and perfect for shawls and tops.  It has a beautiful sheen which makes our colours look even richer.  It's a wonderful yarn for adding a little extra extravagance to your knitted item.

Bliss DK is our signature merino/cashmere (80/20) base that is so very soft.  This yarn has a wonderful halo which makes it perfect for colourwork. The yarn has been plied with 6 strands which makes the yarn bouncy and airy, great for textured and cabled stitch patterns.  You really must try this yarn, it is really amazing.

Club Trio Fade is back!

After the huge success of last month's Club Trio Fade, we decided to offer it again but this time with a new theme: Coastal, City, Country.

Club Trio Fade offers three unique, never-to-be repeated colourways that fade perfectly together.  We will be using three different dye techniques (tonal, speckled and variegated) to create a trio of colours that can be used together in a fade project.  The three colour categories you can choose from are:

• Country (browns, mossy greens, yellow, rust, purples)

 

• City (neutrals and bright pops of colour)

 

• Coastal (blues, teals, greens, neutrals, pinks)

 

This is a one-month club; all yarn will ship in the week beginning 19th November.

Three skeins of Top Draw Sock in three unique colours that fade together.  You choose which colour category you like.
