This week we'll be adding El Merino and Bliss DK to the shop. 

El Merino is our lovely 100% merino fingering weight that dyes up in saturated colours.  We'll be adding lots of speckles this week as well as a few semi-solid colours dyed on this base.

Our Bliss DK is our lux blend of merino and cashmere.  This yarn needs to be worn right next to the skin, it is heavenly soft and beautiful to knit with.  We have dyed up sweater quantities in ten colourways, keep an eye on our Instagram feed for lots of preview pictures.

This week, we'll be stocking up the shop with our super drapey Daintree.  This yarn is a heavenly blend of merino, bamboo and silk.  It's perfect for shawls and garments and feels so good to wear.  Here's a preview of all this week's colourways so you can plan in advance.  Plus, I've added a few pattern ideas but you can find lots more on our Daintree Pinterest board.

This Friday, we will be adding more of our lovely new base, Coastal, to the shop.  It's a 50/50 blend of merino and cotton, making it perfect for warm-weather garments such as summery tops, cardigans and shawls. The yarn is lovely and soft and can be machine washed, so it's a great choice for kids and baby clothes as well. This Friday we will be stocking up the shop with loads of Nest (our new mohair and merino DK base) and Uptown Sock.

We will be offering 25 colourways on the Nest base, all dyed up in sweater quantities.  Make sure you check our Instagram feed for a glimpse of the colourways on offer this week!

We will also be adding a few favorite colourways dyed on our Uptown Sock.  These would be perfect for the upcoming Westknits MKAL.  Be sure to check our Instagram feed for suggested combos using this weeks colourways.

This week, we've had a ball dyeing up yarn for the Westknits Slipstravaganza MKAL (begins on Oct 9).  To help you plan your colour combinations, we have posted below all of this week's colourways, as well as lots of suggested combinations.  You will need need two skeins in the main colour and three contrasting colours.  If you haven't already, go and purchase the pattern from Ravelry.  It provides lots of helpful information about choosing colours for the MKAL.  The idea is to choose a main colourway that contrasts well with all three of the other colours.  This is because the contrast colours will be framed by the main colour, so they must pop!

All yarns will be sold separately, which allows you the freedom to choose your own combination.  The combinations below are suggestions only: there are endless possibilities, so feel free to swap colours around as you please.  If you need any help, just contact us.

This week, we are really excited to be releasing a new yarn base and a pattern!

Our new yarn is called Nest: it's a lovely blend of 70% mohair and 20% merino.  This yarn is a DK weight and can be used as a substitute for patterns requiring a mohair silk lace and sock held together (like our Cruiser and Freewheeler patterns).  The yarn is soft and cushy, and dyes up in saturated shades.  Here's a sneak peak of the colours available this Friday.

To accompany the release of Nest, we have designed a new sweater using this lovely base.  Wildwoods is a cosy, oversized sweater with a delicate lace yoke which is knit top-down with minimal shaping. The design is very simple, making for a fast and easy project.  Sizes and yardage are listed below.  You can substitute Nest with a skein of Mohair Silk Lace held together with a fingering weight yarn.  You will need approximately 3 (3, 4, 4, 5) skeins of each base.

This Friday we will be releasing our newest pattern, Frida.  This cute little top features a scoop neckline in the front and back, lace shoulder panels that extend down each sleeve, and an overall boxy shape. The three-quarter sleeves are cinched at the cuff, giving them a slight bell shape.

Frida was designed using our Donegal Sock, which we will have available in our shop in lots of different colours, including the sample colour Frida.  Here's a sneak peek.
