This week we are topping up the shop with Merino Silk Sport and Merino Cashmere Fingering.  Yarns will be added to the shop at 9am this Friday 26th June, hope to see you there!

This week we will be topping up the shop with Uptown Sock (in a few new and old colourways) and Mohair Silk Lace.  We are also adding a new DK to the shop!  Cushy is a 100% Superwash Merino that is lovely and soft, perfect for sweaters!  As always, our yarns are added to the shop at 9am AEST, hope to see you there!

This Friday we will be re-stocking our faux-fur pom poms.  What's great about these is that they clip on with a snap, meaning you can change your pom pom depending on your mood!  We have lots of fun colours AND, if you buy a skein of yarn, we will give you the pom pom for free - just use the code POMPOM during checkout.  This offer is only available until midnight Saturday.  The pattern used for the hat in the main picture is Winter Dusk Hat by Jessica Gore.

This Friday, we are really excited to be releasing a new pattern! Freewheeler is the pullover version of our most recent design, Cruiser. It features a batwing shape sleeve that is knit seamlessly from the top down using a unique, short-row construction. The body and sleeves are knit at the same time, meaning there is no sleeve island (yay!).

Just like the Cruiser, the Freewheeler uses our Mohair Silk lace, held together with our Uptown Sock. This week, we are offering to custom dye both of these bases in any colourway you choose for either one of these designs! These yarns will be dyed next week and shipped out as soon as they are dry, so you can cast on your Freewheelers or Cruisers ASAP. If you buy the yarn for either design, you will also receive a free copy of the pattern. This week we have a bumper update featuring, not one, but two bases.  The first yarn is our new base Coastal, a wonderful 50/50 merino/cotton blend that is perfect for warm climates or summery knits.  Ideal for cardigans, tops and light shawls, this base is super soft so would also be wonderful for baby and kids wear.  This week we've gone for a soft, semi-solid palette, all yarns will be in stock and ready to ship.

Our second yarn this week is Skein Sport.  We've had a lot of requests for this yarn, so we thought it would be a great idea to let you choose the colourways you want.  So we'll be listing this yarn as Dyed To Order and all yarns will ship within two weeks.  We are also giving away our Porto sweater pattern (see pic above) for free if you buy the yarn needed for this design.

This week we have been busy dyeing up the very popular Top Draw Sock!  We have had a lot of fun dyeing up this wonderful base in a ton of bright, fun colours.  This yarn is great for all sorts of projects - grab a few contrast colours for a shawl or a fun, striped top.

This week, we are delighted to bring back our newest yarn base, Silk Road.  We've received so much positive feedback about this yarn and it's no wonder.  It's soft, silky, drapey and feels so good to knit with and to wear.  I also love dyeing this yarn as its natural grey/brown tone adds a beautiful richness to all of our colours.

This week, we are really excited to be releasing a new pattern!  Cruiser is a batwing cardigan that is knit seamlessly from the top down using a unique, short-row construction.  The body and sleeves are knit at the same time, meaning there is no sleeve island (yay!), and there is lots of relaxing Garter Stitch.

Cruiser was designed to be worn with 4-6” (10-15 cm) positive ease around the bust. As this design is a batwing shape, there is plenty of room around the upper arm.  If you prefer to size down for less ease, you can easily do so by knitting the next size down.

This design uses our Mohair Silk lace, held together with our Uptown Sock.  This Friday, we are offering to custom dye both of these bases in any colourway you choose!  These yarns will be dyed next week and shipped out as soon as they are dry, so you can cast on your Cruiser cardigans ASAP.  If you buy the yarn for this design, you will also receive a free copy of the pattern.  All the information about the pattern and yardage requirements can be found via Ravelry.

This week I felt like having some fun with colour, so I have dyed up lots of speckles and variegated colourways on our El Merino sock base.  This base is wonderful for shawls, socks and garments. I have cast on another Colour Melt Shawl using three skeins of El Merino - one each of Mascara, Orchid and Space Out.  This shawl pattern is perfect for using lots of colour and, as a little Easter treat, if you buy three skeins of El Merino you will get the Colour Melt Shawl pattern for free, no code needed!

This week, we are really excited to be introducing another new yarn base.  Coastal is a fingering weight, 50/50 blend of superwash merino and cotton.  This yarn is very soft and knits up into a lovely drapey fabric.  It's fabulous for people who live in warmer climates and for spring/summer items.

This yarn is a little different than most of our other bases: it has 50% cotton that resists our protein-reactive dyes.  This means that the yarns dye up with lovely heathered hues.  I've been designing a summer top using Coastal and I've really enjoyed working with it, so much so that I'm casting on another top in this yarn.  Perfect for all types of projects, from shawls to tops and cardigans, we think you're really going to love Coastal!

Our new Coastal yarn will be available in the shop Friday 3rd April.
