Two Free Patterns and an Update to Boot!
Spring To It Cowl
As an accompaniment to the yarns offered in this week's update, we've released two free patterns! The first (pictured above) is called the Spring To It Cowl which is a fun little cowl that is perfect for spring! The cowl showcases a mix of stripes and lace in two contrasting colours of MCN Sock, which is fun to knit and perfect for adding some colour to your spring wardrobe.
We used the colourways Citrine and Ice On A Windowpane, which we think is a perfect spring combo. Other spring-inspired combinations are:
From top left; Citrine and Ice On A Windowpane, Rum Raisin and Paw Paw, Pollen and Sterling, Ambrosia and Eventide, Seaborne and Artiste.
These yarns will be available Friday 3rd March at 9am AEDT over on the shop! We have again decided to offer the yarns separately, meaning you can pick and choose whatever you like. And, of course the pattern can be found over on Ravelry; it's available now so head on over and download your free copy!
Pronto Cowl
The second pattern is called the Pronto Cowl which is a super chunky cowl that is very quick and easy to knit! The textured stitch pattern gives the cowl a modern look and is also fun to knit. Perfect for winter, this cowl will keep your neck super cozy and will look fabulous under any winter coat.
The Pronto Cowl requires two skeins of our super squishy yarn Pronto. For this week's update we have put together a mix of ten colourwys for you to choose from!
From top left; Blush Crush, In The Navy, Love Buzz, Phosphorescent, Sand, Spellbound, Terracotta Sun, The Outback, Tres Chic and Wishing Well
The sample design was knit using the colourway Sand, but it would look fantastic any one of these colours! Of course these will all be ready to ship and available in the shop Friday 3rd March at 9am AEDT! You can also grab your free copy of the Pronto Cowl via Ravelry right now.
We hope you enjoy the free patterns and look forward to seeing your projects!
Have a wonderful week!

Colour Melt
This week, we are delighted to be sharing our newest design with you. The Colour Melt Shawl is a simple, garter-stitch triangular shawl that lets you play with colour! By alternating between one and then two yarns, which are held together at the same time, a colour-melt effect occurs. It's fascinating to see what colour effects you get!
The shawl is lovely and big which is perfect for wrapping yourself up in! There is also a simple lace border with picot bind off that adds a nice feminine touch.
The Colour Melt shawl requires three full skeins of Top Draw Sock; the more contrast the better! All you need to do is select three of your favourite contrasting yarns and watch what happens when they melt together. We have of course put a few colour combinations together that we think would look fabulous:
- Make Hay While the Sun Shines, Wasabi and China Town (used for sample design)
- Techno, Pollen and Graphite
- Ghost, Eventide and Night Owl
- Myrtle Creek, Industrial Age and Time Is On My Side
These are available in Friday's update! Please note, these yarns are all sold separately and not as kits. We thought this would be better, so you can pick and choose your own favourite combinations! The Colour Melt Shawl pattern is also available now over on Ravelry!
Have a wonderful week!

New Shawl, Sock Kits and New Colourways!
Tidal Shawl
This week, we are super excited to be highlighting a brand-new pattern release by Many-Anne Mace called Tidal Zone. This beautiful shawl was designed using our Merino Cashmere base in the colourways Whisper and Artiste, and it features an easy-to-wear crescent shape with a beautiful lace border. The pattern has also been written to include multiple colour choices: you can knit the shawl using two colours (as pictured), in one colour, or with a contrasting stripe that runs across the centre. All three are stunning!
For this week's update, we have put together a few colour combinations that we think would work beautifully with this design. These yarns will be sold individually rather than as kits, meaning you can mix and match colours as you please or select one colour to knit up this stunning shawl. So here are our colour combos:
- Artiste and Whisper
- OMG and Jersey
- Seaborne and Wintertide
- Pollen and Barley
- Whisper and Metropolis
- Milky Way and Graphite
Tidal Zone is available now via Ravelry and of course the yarns will be ready to ship in this weeks update on Friday.
Heel and Toe Sock Kits
The biggest craze in sock knitting at the moment is the addition of contrasting heels and toes. Let's face it, they make fun, funky socks even more funner and funkier! With this in mind, we have put together brand-new kits called Heel and Toe Sock Kits. Each kit contains one full skein of Top Draw Sock yarn, plus one contrasting mini in the same base. Both yarns have been matched to make the ultimate pair of socks (you'll never want to hide these puppies in shoes!). Heel and Toe Sock kits are brand-spanking new and are available in store this Friday! If you miss out, don't panic as they will feature regularly in future updates. We hope you like them as much as we do!
New Colourways
We will also be introducing three new 'Crazy Colourways' to our shop this Friday! As you may know Crazy Colourways form micro stripes in a cool pooling pattern when knit up, which make them perfect for socks! The three new colours are Quest, Hike, and Alpine (see above pic). All three colourways have been dyed on both our Top Draw Sock base and Mini skeins; we hope you like them!
Minis
And finally, we also have lots of skeins of Top Draw Sock yarn and Minis available this week in a ton of colours, all of which can be viewed in store Friday 10th Feb at 9am AEST! Don't forget to head on over to the shop to check out this week's super packed update.
Have a wonderful week!

Goodies Galaore!
Wow, we have a bumper update this week! As usual we have lots of sock yarn, and our bases on offer are the ultra cushy Cash Sock and the oh-so-lovely Uptown Sock! We also have a few colours of Daintree, which I know a lot of people are dying to get their hands on to knit our recent pattern collaboration with Jessica Gore: the Daintree Shawl.
On top of those goodies we also have Skein Sport, the decadent Silk Cashmere Lace and Winter, our gold-star worsted.
With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I was taken aback to this time last year when I knit myself and my hubby a pair of Simple House Slippers by Simone A. This is SUCH a wonderful and fast pattern; it's perfect for a quick handmade gift for your partner, mother, friend or any loved one. Plus, it only takes one skein! We have plenty of Winter worsted available, so if you are looking for a quick Valentine's gift this might just be it!
Giveaway!
Last week we mentioned the very popular Snowmelt Shawl MKAL and this week, thanks to the lovey Helen Stewart, we have two patterns to giveaway - yipee!
All you need to do is head on over to our Ravelry group and tell us 'what do you love MOST about winter and or spring?'. We'll pick two of our favourite responses on Saturday 4th Feb and then PM the winners a code with which they can redeem their prize. Good luck!
If you are after yarn for the Snowmelt MKAL, there is plenty available in this week's update which goes live on Friday 3rd Feb at 9am AEST ! Don't forget to head on over to the shop to check out all of of this week/s goodies.

Sock, Sport and Minis!
This week, we have quite a large selection of Sport and Sock weight yarns up for grabs. We have the lovely Meadow and Skein Sport, and for the sock weight yarn there is the wonderful MCN Sock, as well as our single-ply Uptown Sock (seen below in our newest colourway OMG!).
Plus we can't forget our Minis! Due to their popularity, we have decided to incorporate mini skeins into most of our updates. I'm a little obsessed with them at the moment as I've been swept away with the crochet sock blanket craze! This week, we have seven mini skein colours available, including the wonderfully bright Grunge Rainbow.
Our update will go live Friday 20th January at 9am AEDT! Head on over to the shop to check it out!
Have a wonderful week,

Daintree Shawl
We are back, and what better way to start 2017 than with a new design?
The Daintree Shawl by Jessica Gore has been designed exclusively for Skein using two skeins of our Daintree yarn. This beautiful, crescent-shaped shawl features delicate lace motifs inspired by the fan palms that can be found growing in abundance in the iconic Queensland rainforest.
This week we have dedicated our Friday update to this beautiful pattern. There are 24 colourways that you can choose from to make your own Daintree Shawl.
Jess has used the deep forest green colourway Weekend Escape for her her design; we chose to use the pale colourway Milk-Glass.
Our Daintree Shawl update will be held on Friday 13th January at 9am AEDT! Head on over to the shop to get your yarns, and click here to purchase the Daintree Shawl pattern which is available on Ravelry now!
KAL!
Jessica is having a Daintree Shawl KAL that is being held over on her Ravelry group The Sweater Collective. For details, head on over to her group and join in the fun! We can't wait to see your progress pics and FOs!

If you're thinking that it's a little early for our regular update, then you are right. Sparkly, Vibrant, Soft and Silken
It's almost holiday season, so we decided to offer four yarns that will add a little extra pizzazz to your knitting. First we have Shimmer: a beautiful sock-weight yarn sparkling with silver stelina, and is guaranteed to add zing to any project. Next we have Top Draw Sock: this yarn dyes up in super-saturated colours which will liven up your knitting! Thirdly we have the lovely Merino Cashmere: it is soooo suuuper soooft and such a pleasure to knit with that you'll never want to take it off your needles or your person! And finally our lustrous Silk Merino Lace: it is so silken smooth and drapey that it's one of our classiest yarns, and is sure to add elegance to any project.
You can catch the update on Friday 9th December at 9am AEDT!
Have a wonderful week!

Intersection
Today we are so thrilled to be releasing our newest shawl pattern 'Intersection'. This simple colourwork shawl uses three skeins of Meadow, which are knit up into a simple stripe and slipped stitch pattern to create a shawl that's visually appealing and, of course, lovely to wear. Meadow is a non-superwash merino, sport-weight yarn that is incredibly soft and dyes up into soft shades. It's a joy to knit and it creates a wonderfully cushy fabric, which is why it was chosen for this design.
For this week's update, we have taken the guess work out of choosing a colour combination for Intersection by putting together kits specifically for this shawl.
Each kit contains three skeins of Meadow (one in each colour). Please note the pattern is not included in the kit; it can be purchased separately over on Ravelry. All design info can be found on the Ravelry pattern page - sample shows the shawl knit up using kit 1.
Kits will go on sale 2nd December at 9am EAST! All kits will be in stock and ready to ship, don't forget to head on over to the shop to check them out!
There is also a KAL for this shawl being held over on our Ravelry group! Because we are heading rapidly towards the holiday season, we thought it would be best to have an open KAL, which means there is no deadline; just cast on whenever and join us! This is an open KAL, which means if you already have yarn in your stash (Skein or otherwise) and want to cast on then come on over - we would love to see your WIP!
Have a lovely week!
