Little scraps. Lovely possibilities.

A basket of scraps, a few favourite colours, and a whole month of possibilities.

This October, we’re gathering our leftovers and having a Scrapalong—and we’d love you to join us.

All scrappy projects are welcome: knitted or crocheted, big or small. A blanket, a striped sweater, a colourful shawl, or something entirely your own.

There’s no set schedule and no need to finish in October. Start whenever you like and make at your own pace.

How to join in

1. Gather your scraps. Pull out your leftovers, odd skeins and treasured little balls of yarn. Start with what you already have.
2. Choose something you’d love to make. Join us in making a Log Cabin Blanket, start another scrappy project, or return to one already on your needles or hook.
3. Explore the weekly inspiration. Each week, we’ll add ideas, project updates and a little photo prompt. Follow along whenever you fancy.
4. Share a little of your making. We’d love to see your scraps, colours, works in progress and finished pieces. You’re equally welcome to quietly make alongside us.

No registration needed—just your scraps and a project you’re excited to make.

Making alongside you

I’m making another Scrappy Log Cabin Blanket and a scrappy version of my Cruiser Cardigan, choosing the next colour as I go in both. There are unexpected combinations, little colour blips and some fluffy texture finding their way into the cardigan—and I’m thoroughly enjoying it all.

You’ll find my progress and colour discoveries on the weekly pages as we go. It’s been lovely seeing what we’re all making from our little collections of scraps.
