Frida is a cute summer top that features a scoop neckline in the front and back, lace shoulder panels that extend down each sleeve, and an overall boxy shape.  The three-quarter sleeves are cinched at the cuff, giving them a slight bell shape.

Pattern Notes
Frida is knit from the top down, starting with two separate saddle-shoulder strips.  From these strips, the stitches for the body are picked up and joined together by casting on the neck stitches.  The yoke is then worked in the round to the underarm and, from here, the sleeves and body are finished separately.

The body length for this design is cropped; however, you can easily extend the length by adding extra rows before you begin the seed-stitch hem.  The overall ease for the blouse is 4" (10cm) but if you would like to size down a little, be sure to review the schematic as the sleeves are more fitted at 1" (2.5 cm) of ease.

Needles

3.75 mm (US 5) circular needles, two sets (one set with a cable length of no less than 32”(80cm) to be used for the yoke and body).  A smaller cable length can be used for the shoulder strips and sleeves.

3.25mm (US 3) for seed stitch.

2.75 mm (US 2) for I-Cord BO.

For this design, it is much easier to use interchangeable needles with stoppers so you can use the cables as holders. If you do use this method, you will need 3 cables of no less than 32”(80cm).
