New Colourways and a Few Old Favourites - Friday 15th January
Since this Friday will be our first update for 2021 we decided to kick off the New Year off with new colourways. These colours are dyed using a new to us method which produces lots of painterly splashes. They wont pool or stripe but will knit up with random pops of colour, the swatch below is the Aquatic colourway.
We have been posting a few sneak peaks of our new colours over on Instagram, so head over there to see more! We'll also be adding a few of our favorite regulars to the shop as well. The yarns this week are Uptown Sock and Everyday Sock.
As always our yarns go live this Friday 15th January at 9am AEST, hope to see you there!
Expect The Unexpected - Colour Collection Club 2021
Do interesting, unexpected and unusual colours appeal to you? If your answer is yes, then this club is for you.
Each month we will be using an online random-colour generator (posted for you live on Instagram) to select a colour. Because it is a random selection, ANY colour is possible, so be ready to expect the unexpected. Whatever is selected will be the prominent colour; however, we will also include a few other hues to create either a speckled, tonal or variegated colourway. It's going to be a great challenge for us, and a fun way for you to stash some interesting colours that you might not have otherwise considered. Here are the details:
- This is a subscription-based club, meaning you will be charged at the same time each month until you decide to stop. Subscription payments mean you can opt in and out at your leisure. The club will run throughout 2021.
- As mentioned we will be posting on Instagram a video of the colour selection process, so you can see which colour was randomly selected. This will happen on the 16th of every month. After this we will begin our colour creation process and dyeing, however this part will be a secret (no spoilers!).
- Yarns will ship in the last week of each month. All packages will ship with tracking. You will receive an email letting you know the club has shipped, as well as a separate email with your tracking details.
- Choose to receive 1, 2, 3 or 4 skeins of Top Draw per month. One skein (100g) is a good sampler, two skeins would be perfect for most shawls, three and four skeins are ideal for garments or for sharing a club subscription with your knitting pals.
- We will not be repeating any of the colourways, so make sure you buy enough for the projects you love to make. If you want to buy more or sell your club skeins, then read on!
- We have opened a Ravelry thread for this club. Feel free to share your club skeins and projects, or use the thread to buy/sell/swap your club skeins. You can also share your club skeins or projects by using #skeinclub2021
- The cut-off date for each month is the 15th. If you sign up after the 15th, you will begin receiving your club the following month. For example, if you sign up on the 16th of January your first club will ship the last week of February. The cut-off date is calculated in Australian time, which is a day ahead of most countries.
- Prices include shipping. Because we have offered reduced shipping, we cannot combine ship with other orders.
- Discount codes and points cannot be used for the club; also, the club payments do not count towards Skein Points.
- If, for some reason, we are unable to get Top Draw from our mill in time for the club, we will source another yarn of the same value or more.
- If the random-colour generator selects the same or a very similar colour to the previous month, we will re draw (there's only so much brown you can have in your stash!).
- You can unsubscribe at any time. There will be an 'unsubscribe' button at the bottom of the sign up page.
- Any questions, feel free to contact us.
Prices (in AUD)
1 skein - $40.00
2 skeins - $75.00
3 skeins - $112.50
4 skeins - $150.00
All prices include shipping. There is one price for everyone, no matter where in the world you live (and yes, we ship everywhere).
Our club subscriptions will open this Friday 8th January at 9am AEST. Hope you'll join us, I think this is going to be a lot of fun.

Hiberknitalong Kits - Friday 4th December
We were so excited to hear that Stephen West is running another KAL over the holidays that we decided to do kits! Our kits are summer themed because, of course, in Australia our holidays are in summer. We chose our Daintree yarn as it is cool to touch and wear, which is perfect for summer. We also put together summery colours for each kit, see below.
Our yarns go live this Friday at 9am Sydney time! If you live outside of Australia and New Zealand, please be aware that there is international shipping delays due to Christmas, so you won't receive your kits on time to start the KAL. Each kit comes with four skeins of Daintree yarn; however, you will need to sign up for the KAL over on Ravelry in order to get your pattern.
Hope you enjoy the kits! I can't wait to cast on!

Silk Cashmere Lace & Everyday Sock - Friday 20th November
This week we are super happy to have more Silk Cashmere Lace in stock! It's been a long wait but we have finally managed to get more of this luxury base in. We'll be adding a few popular colourways to the shop this Friday. We'll also be topping up our popular Everyday Sock which you can now custom order.
As usual, our update goes live Friday at 9am AEST. Hope to see you there!
Merino Silk Sport - Friday 13th November
This Friday we will be topping up our Merino Silk Sport: a beautiful blend of 50% Merino and 50% Silk, making it super silky and drapey. Unlike most silk yarns, this base has a lot of spring. It's lovely to knit with and, in no way, is it hard on your hands. The silk content also provides a lovely drape, making this yarn ideal for soft, flowing garments and shawls.
As always, our yarns go live Friday at 9am Sydney time. Hope to see you there!
New Colourways Plus Donegal Sock - Friday 6th November
This week we are adding lots of new colourways to the shop. We've been developing a few new speckles that are a little more subtle than what we usually dye up. The idea is that they would be suitable for garments adding just a light sprinkling of speckles to a light semi solid background. We've also developed a some bright semi-solids as well as a few moodier hues. All of our new colourways will be available Friday on our Top Draw Sock base.
We will also be restocking our Donegal Sock which sold out quickly last time. This yarn is wonderful for cardigans, sweaters and tees. The tweedy nups create wonderful texture and an appealing speckle. Our colourways will be made up of our popular semi-solid and tonal colourways.
As always our update begins at 9am (Sydney time) Friday. Hope to see you there!
New Sport Base - Sportlicious! Friday 30th October
This week we will be adding a new sport weight yarn to our collection. Sportlicious is a blend of super-fine merino spun into a cushy 2ply. The yarn has a lovely sheen and is very soft making it perfect for shawls and garments just like our Porto Sweater.
We will be posting lots of spoilers over on our Instagram feed, so make sure you take a look. Our Sportlicious goes live this Friday 30th October at 9am Sydney time. Hope to see you there!
