The Amélie Tee is a wonderful summer tee designed by PetiteKnit. We have made kits using Knitting For Olive Cotton Merino: a light-and-cool yarn that's super soft to wear and perfect for summer! Choose between two or three-colour options. As always, we are happy to modify kits, so if there is a colour you would like to swap out, or, if you would like to add more yarn, just message us! Kits are in the shop; if we do sell out and need to order in more, we will contact you.
For our version, we chose to knit with two colours in an eight-stripe sequence (6 rows of the main colour Terracotta Rose and 2 rows of the contrast, Ballerina). There is enough yardage in each of the 2 colour kits for you to decide how you would like to knit your stripes! There is also a 3 colour option (as worn by PetiteKnit) if you prefer to add a little more colour to your tee. The size we knit was S which gave us 4¼" of positive ease. We also added a 1" rib around the neck opting to omit the stockinette finishing around the sleeves, hem and neck.
The kit comes with the yarn required to knit this design; the pattern needs to be purchased separately via Ravelry or the PetiteKnit website.
Sizing
The Amélie Tee is designed to have approx. 7 cm [2¾ inches] of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 7 cm [2¾ inches] larger in circumference than your bust measurement.
