Episode 10: World Cup Fever

June 13, 2014

Thanks to everyone who contacted me during the week, I always love hearing from you!  This week I'm wearing my Enchanted Messa jumper by Steven West knit out of Skein Merino Cashmere Fingering and Slinky.

I chat about the World Cup 2014!  Its become a tradition to watch the World Cup at our house, which means either late nights or early mornings to watch it live.

In The Studio

  • I talk about catching up on wholesale orders
  • I also mention and show a few of the speckled yarns that I have been dyeing in readiness for the next update.

In the Mail

  • Nothing this week, but I talk about a parcel that went astray.

Works In Progress

  • Feather and Fan Comfort Shawl knit out of my new, long colour repeat yarn in the Top Draw Sock base.  My project can be seen here.
  • Vanilla Socks using the Opal Van Gogh colourways called Sunflowers in a Vase.  These are are the socks that remind me of ripe bananas, which I now call my Banana Socks!

Finished Objects

  • No FOs this week!

  • I show off my half spun Loop batt which is currently on my wheel, the colourway called Hint of Mint (part of the Loop club).  I plan to spin a sport or sock weight single ply yarn to use for a shawl.

Future Knits

  • I mention that I will be knitting a pair of Monkey socks by Cookie A out of Leading Men Fibre Arts - Showcase base in the Harvest colourway.  This will be my World Cup project as well as my Hand-Dyed KAL project.
