Meet Our New Yarn, Curly!
We are super excited to be releasing our newest yarn, Curly. This gorgeous yarn base is a DK-weight bouclé that is brimming with curly texture. It's super soft (like a cuddly teddy bear) and knits up into a fun, bubbly texture that is surprisingly light and, as mentioned, very soft.
Curly has been spun using 100% superwash merino, making it perfect for lots of projects including sweaters, hats, shawls, baby and kids' clothes. Yardage is 246 yards / 225 metres in 100g, so it's ideal for DK-weight or light-worsted projects.
So far the biggest question has been: 'What can we make with it?'. We recommend searching for patterns that are knit using simple stockinette, garter or rib stitch. Stitch patterns like lace and cables would get lost under all the lovely texture. Simple colourwork stripes would certainly work well, too. I'm currently knitting the Balloon Cardigan by Petite Knits using Curly (see pic above) and it's knitting up beautifully. Here's a few more suggestions (images are linked to the pattern pages).
