Size knit: Small
Firstly, this makes for a fabulous travel project. I recently took this overseas; it was my only project (due to the fact I had a tiny bag and couldn't take more than one small project!) and it was perfect. I could pick it up and put it down whenever I needed to (even half way through a round) and know exactly where I was the next time I picked it up. The pattern is very easy to memorise; in fact I didn't look at the pattern at all until it was time to bind off - it was wonderful!
Secondly, this is a fabulous item to pack when traveling, particularly during those transitional cooler months. You can wear this as a cowl with jeans and a jacket, or wear it with a dress and drape it over your shoulders during chilly evenings. It weighs next to nothing and is light to pack. It's certainly going to be coming with me on my next adventure.
With holidays drawing near, the Droplet Capelet would also be perfect for gifts. It is a very fast knit and, well, who wouldn't want one! I used a speckled yarn (our Pixelated colourway), and it would also look fabulous in a semi-solid or tonal or a yarn with sparkle! I give the Droplet Capelet a big two thumbs up: it's a wonderful, wearable design. So, head on over to Ravelry and check out the Droplet Capelet by Denise Bayron. Of course, don't forget your yarn! Any of our sock-weight yarns would be perfect for this project.
Happy knitting! xx
